Where is 5? ...If your opponent has the Number Tile in question, they must tell you where it is. For example, "the second tile from the left.' If they have two of the Number Tile in question, they must tell you the location of both. We’re super fired up for the return of .Tech Domains developer community competition: Break The Code 2! If you thought the initial Break The Code 1.0 was a one-of-a-kind experience, wait till you see what GitHub Education and .Tech Domains have in the works for this latest addition. Raise your hand if you remember Break The Code 1.0? Where is 1 or 2? (Choose one) ...When asking this question, you must first choose whether to ask about 1 or 2. Your opponent answers in the same way as the example above. If added in the options (recommended) the game will auto-fill 100% known info (e.g. if the question was "where is number 8", as opposed to "do you have an even number" which is vague and you have to figure out yourself) Tech Domains have also given freeCodeCamp.org a grant for us to create a "Let's Play"-style walkthrough of the game.

Break the Code is a great way to start a game night. It accommodates all player counts equally as well, and it only takes 15 or so minutes to play. In many ways, this feels like a very different game with 2, 3, and 4 players, so much so that it feels like it is three games in one. Needless to say, the Missions get increasingly hard to complete as Codebreakers go through the Drives. How do I play? The 1st playlist contains part of the answer, 2nd playlist has an instruction which then gives another part of the answer. 3rd gives an instruction for how to achieve final answer. You may want to take notes when asking questions. Draw the top card from the pile of Question Cards and place it face up in the middle of the table, replacing the card you chose. You get 8 attempts at breaking the code. If you can't discover it by then then you lose that game. But that's ok. You can get a new code and try again. You must still answer the other players' questions. The game ends when two players have declared victory, or when there are no remaining players. You would answer, "the first and second from the left, and the first and second from the right". Should you have Blue 7, Red 8, Blue 8, Red 9, indicate the 7 and 8 as well as the 8 and 9. If you have three or more sequential Number Tiles, indicate them all.

You would answer, "the first and second from the left, and the third and fourth from the left". You may also indicate their locations by pointing to the corresponding pictures on your Game Screen with your finger. Remove the following Question Cards from the game: "What is the sum of your three middle tiles?" and "[Shared Info] Is your middle tile greater than 4?" Place all of the Number Tiles face down and shuffle them. Dan Blum (1 play): I have Tagiron but have only managed to get it to the table once. I thought it was quite good and certainly plan to play it again, but I have so many deduction games… I don’t think I will ever prefer it to Code 777 but it’s certainly nice as a shorter alternative.

If you guess incorrectly in a 2-player game, your turn ends and play continues as normal. If you guess incorrectly in a 3+ player game, you are out of the game and lose. If everyone guesses incorrectly, there is no winner. Nabster: Definitely more difficult than the last. There are 3 playlists which each contain a word/phrase which you deduce in different ways. On your turn, you can either guess their tiles, or ask a question. There are six face up question cards on the table, and they provide you information. Sample questions include:

For larger groups, it may be a good idea to split the players into separate teams and have multiple hosts with varying codes. Place all of the Number Tiles face down and shuffle them. Place your Game Screen in front of you, then randomly take five tiles. Place them face up behind your screen just as you would for a two player game.Once they have finished getting to know each other, they may write a short paragraph about what they learned about their classmates as a homework task. The joy is obviously in the puzzle, but the strategy is largely in selecting which question to ask. This is particularly true in the four-player game, where not only are you getting information, you’re also giving information to your opponents.

For example, "Red 0, Blue 2, Green 5, Red 6, Blue 6!" Your opponent answers either "Correct" if you were right, or "Wrong" if you were not. To make the game easier, the host may include tips like noting the range of the numbers. For example, if the code is 9999, then the host may say that the code is over 9,000.
